Natural Fat Burners

The term 'fat burner' is used to describe nutrition supplements that are claimed to acutely increase fat metabolism or energy expenditure, increase weight loss, and increase fat oxidation during exercise. [1] but is this too good to be true? The reality is that these fat burners are highly processed, contain a large number of ingredients and can lead to liver dysfunction.

Some of the ingredients like caffeine stimulate the Sympathetic Nervous system that is responsible for your fight-or-flight response. Stress hormones such as cortisol cause your body’s stores of fat and sugar to be released usually leading to increased abdominal fat.

If you want to lose weight, burn fat and look your absolute best, you should consider adding some of these natural fat burners into your lifestyle, and skip the unhealthy supplements.

1.      Organic Cinnamon Oil: Cinnamon is great for blood sugar management and to balance insulin levels. Cinnamon’s unique healing abilities come from three basic components in the essential oils found in its bark.

2.      Grapefruit Oil: Grapefruit essential oil is created by pressing the rind of grapefruit. It is full of antioxidants, and it also supports blood sugar management. In fact, Grapefruit pectin has been extensively studied[2], and some studies have shown that grapefruit pectin possesses cholesterol-lowering action. It is so powerful in the detoxification pathway that it could have some contraindications with some medications.

3.      Fish Oil: It is a rich source of Omega 3 fatty acids – EPA and DHA, that helps reduce inflammation in the body, and support muscle synthesis.

Remember that nothing will beat a healthy diet and exercise but you can certainly enhance the fat loss process by adding some natural foods to health your gut, manage insulin levels or lower cholesterol.
