Fitness Hacks for Busy People

Life is busy, we know and we get it. You work hard at the office and put in hard work at the gym but you’re burning out—and for little results. If the energy you put into this whole work-life balance thing isn’t leading to big results on the other side, it’s time to make a shift.  Get ready to adopt a new way of exercising that’s all about working smart, not hard.

Here’s a few tips to help you fit your workouts into your everyday, busy life without excuses and some major results.

1.     Rise earlier- It may be the last thing you want to do, given the already-busy nature of your life, but getting up earlier will HELP not hinder your productivity.  Even setting your alarm for 20 minutes before your usual time will give you enough space for a quick and intense workout before work. Try HIIT exercises to maximize your time and target your entire body.

2.     Bike or walk to work- It’s a trend that’s not dying out--and for good reason. Worker bees everywhere are noticing the benefits of getting their fitness in on the way to and/or from work.  According to one study, people who walk or cycle to their jobs tend to feel happier and less stressed than their car-driving mates.

3.     Pick a fitness friend- You’ll have the best luck staying on track with your workouts if you choose to do them with someone regularly for motivation and support. Choose a co-worker who really understands your busy groove and you’ll do wonders for each other.

4.     Focus on the fundamentals- Ensure your sweat sessions are just as effective as they are efficient by being conscious of hitting seven fundamental fitness elements. Basically, the ideas is to focus on eating, resting and sleeping well at home and working your heart, muscles, core and flexibility at the gym.  It’s balance in a powerful package!
